This sum of nearly 600 pages and 2000 illustrations retraces the work of graphic designer François Miehe, from the foundation of Grapus collective in 1970 with Pierre Bernard and Gérard Paris-Clavel, and its pursuit within the Atelier François Miehe & Cie. This profusion of materials (posters, postage stamps, T-shirts, brochures, catalogs, diagrams…) is a powerful testimony to the shift in the world between 1968 and today, through 56 years of work as « graphic designer-artist-teacher-citizen ». The book takes part of a dynamic process carried by those involved in social change and concrete utopias, and features texts by novelist Bernard Chamber, urban planner Jean-Pierre Merlot and sociologist Bernard Friot.
