For thirty years, Jacques Grison has explored the effects of remanence induced by places of great suffering. Remanence is meant here as the persistence of effects whose cause has long since disappeared. Over the last four years, while in residency in the former asylum of Ville-Evrard, he continued and radicalized his research. This new selection of photographs synthetizes what he considers to be an essential aspect of his work.
